Not sure where to start? Medibank Mental Health Phone Support can help.

When you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, it can be hard to know where to go for support. Members with hospital cover can talk to a mental health professional any time of the day or night at no extra cost. Δ~

Speaking with a mental health professional

As with other health issues, speaking with your GP is an important first step towards mental health care and support. Assessing your symptoms, your GP can develop a mental health care plan specific to your needs, or refer you to more specialised treatment.

With a GP referral and a care plan, anyone with Medicare can access up to 20 subsidised specialist appointments per year. Medibank members with eligible extras cover can also claim benefits for consultations with a psychologist or Medibank-recognised counsellor, up to their annual limit.§
