Ancillary Provider Recognition

Important information

Medibank is working towards moving away from accepting provider refunds via cheque and from issuing cheques to providers for claim benefits. Instead, we’ll use Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to get payments to you faster – 2 to 3 business days.

What happens next?

You’ll need to provide your EFT details, which can be done in 3 simple steps:

  1. Go to Ancillary EFT form
  2. Complete the registration form
  3. Save and send the completed form to Medical_AncillaryProviders@medibank.com.au

We hope you understand the benefits of this change and we want to make the transition as smooth as possible. If you need help, we’re always here to assist. Contact our Provider helpdesk on web messaging or call 1300 130 460.

Ancillary Provider Recognition

In order to be recognised, or to continue to be recognised, by Medibank as a Medibank Recognised Provider, Medibank requires ancillary health care providers to meet recognition criteria.

The recognition criteria comprise of standards which are applicable by modality. Refer to your modality below to identify which recognition criteria, standards and application forms are applicable to you.

Recognised providers are encouraged to visit the Medibank website regularly to see the most current version. The recognition criteria, accompanying standards and/or application form were last updated on 2 November 2020 and may be amended by Medibank and ahm from time to time.

For further information, please contact our Provider helpdesk on web messaging or call 1300 130 460.

Members of a professional organisation not listed below

Please contact your organisation and arrange for them to contact Medibank as soon as possible on 1300 130 460 or on web messaging in relation to obtaining an organisation provider number.
