Medibank are working towards moving away from accepting provider refunds via cheque and from issuing cheques to providers for claim benefits. Instead, we’ll use Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to get payments to you faster – 2 to 3 business days.
What happens next?
You’ll need to provide your EFT details, which can be done in 2 simple steps:

2. Send the completed details to Health Partnerships and Networks Team via MedibankHospital.Network@medibank.com.au and our team will look after the rest.
Medibank has entered into arrangements with most private hospitals and day surgeries in Australia. These relationships form the Medibank Members' Choice hospital network.
Members' Choice agreements are between Medibank and licensed, industry accredited hospitals and day facilities whereby providers agree to provide their services to Medibank eligible members.
An eligible member is one of our members who has cover under one of our Hospital Tables which covers them for goods and services of the kind provided by the Members' Choice provider.
Both the provider and Medibank sign a Hospital Purchaser Provider Agreement setting out the Terms and Conditions of the Members' Choice arrangement. This is designed to formalise the parties' obligations and secure our members' access to no or known out-of-pocket expenses. The providers' clinical independence is not affected in any way.
Members' Choice providers are required to be bound by the Fund Rules of Medibank.
The names of Members' Choice providers are sent to our members on request, are available through the members enquiries phone number, listed on this website and distributed through Medibank Retail Centres and agencies. Due to our Trade Practices obligations Medibank does not recommend or encourage our members to go to any Members' Choice or non members' Choice provider.
The Members' Choice network covers a wide range of private hospital and day hospital facilities nationally.
