Health concierge

Health Concierge provides personalised health support to help eligible Medibank hospital members prepare for, or recover from, a hospital stay or treatment.⁶

Medibank Mental Health Phone Support

Members with Hospital cover can talk with a mental health professional over the phone in relation to any mental health or emotional concern, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. ¹

New telehealth services

Medibank members with eligible extras can now access telehealth services—including psychology, physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, podiatry, exercise physiology, and speech therapy—and claim for services undertaken between 14 April and 30 September 2020.²

Medibank at Home

With your doctor's support, eligible members can choose whether a treatment is delivered in the hospital or home, with a range of services, such as rehabilitation and chemotherapy.³

CareComplete

Medibank’s CareComplete programs provide extra support and personalised care (for eligible members) when you need it most. We work in partnership with your GPs and health care team to help you access the right support and resources you need to help you manage your condition better and to improve your overall health. ⁴

Introducing COVID-19 Health Assist

Eligible Medibank members with hospital cover may now access personalised advice and support at home from dedicated healthcare professionals at no extra cost. We call it COVID-19 Health Assist.

Regardless of a members’ level of existing hospital cover, Medibank will pay benefits towards chest, heart, lung and kidney hospital admissions, during this coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. ⁵

From providing advice about what to expect during a hospital admission, and how to deal with the stresses of COVID-19, to helping you look after your emotional wellbeing, we’ll be by your side.⁵

COVID-19 Monitoring at Home

Designed to help eligible members diagnosed with COVID-19 manage their health and wellbeing at home (when their doctor says it is safe to do so), with daily check-ins and monitoring of symptoms by a Medibank nurse over the phone.⁵

1    OSHC members should call the Student Health and Support Line on 1800 887 283

2    Check your cover summary to see if these services are included on your extras cover and if any waiting periods or annual limits apply.

3    Must have eligible hospital cover, all relevant waiting periods must have been served and treating doctor must consider it appropriate. Out of pocket expenses may apply. Chemotherapy, palliative and dialysis program not available in all areas. 

4    Available in most major metropolitan and regional areas. Not available in the Northern Territory.

5    Waiting periods may apply. Suspended policies excluded.

6   Health Concierge is available to all eligible Medibank members who hold hospital cover. Excludes Overseas Visitor Health Cover, Working Visa Health Cover and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
