Top tips for the aspiring triathlete

Australian Olympian Brendan Sexton breaks down the training legs for this challenging event.

Brendan Sexton – Olympic athlete and the hero of be. magazine’s triathlon feature back in 2012 – knows all too well the ins and outs of swim, bike and run challenge.

Brendan’s top triathlon tips

  • In swimming, every bad stroke you do takes you back to square one, so make every stroke count.
  • Cycling comes down to gaining confidence, in both handling the bike and how you’re moving.
  • In running, focus on how much time your feet are on the ground and how frequently they touch the ground to help find a rhythm.

We caught up with Brendan at the 2XU X:Level Training Camp, held at the AIS.
