How do I know if I'm eligible?

To be eligible you must:

  • hold a residential hospital cover;
  • have served your waiting period for Rehabilitation;
  • have access to a compatible smartphone and Internet connection, allowing you access to the Cardihab application;
  • accept the terms and conditions of use;
  • hold a cover where Rehabilitation is either an Included or Restricted service; and
  • meet some other clinical criteria.

Generally, you are eligible if you were admitted to hospital for a procedure or condition that is suitable for cardiac rehabilitation, including:

  • AMI ^ [Acute Myocardial Infarction]
  • Coronary artery bypass graft surgery
  • Percutaneous coronary interventions
  • Angioplasty
  • CAD ^ [Coronary Artery Disease. E.g. stable angina]
  • Angina
  • Valve device, replacement and repair
  • Permanent pacemaker
  • Heart transplant
  • Atrial fibrillation
  • Hypercholesterolaemia.
