Do waiting periods get recognised?
Waiting periods already served only get recognised if you join Medibank within 2 months of leaving your previous Australian health fund.
You may still need to serve any waiting periods you have not fully served with your previous fund. Waiting periods for any new or upgraded services or benefits will also apply.

Extras and benefits paid under your previous cover will determine the extras and benefits payable under your new Medibank cover.
