Medibank nurses can now help you online

We’re providing members with more choice in how they connect with Medibank nurses with our Medibank Nurse Triage Webchat Trial.

In addition to our 24/7 Health Advice Line, Medibank’s experienced and passionate nurses can now help Medibank members who have hospital cover online via webchat. The Medibank Nurse Triage Webchat Trial is giving members more choice about how they access health support and services.

Our nurses support a range of health questions and concerns

Nurses can assist members with a range of health questions and concerns, including advice on how to manage symptoms, when to see a doctor, general information about health and navigating the healthcare system.

Webchat should not be accessed in emergencies or life threatening situations – customers who are in emergency or life threatening situations should call triple zero (000) immediately.

Our services range from urgent first aid right through to general home care advice

By asking questions about the symptoms, our nurses can help members decide whether they need to attend a medical centre or go to an emergency department. They can also access a database to find the nearest local provider.

The webchat service provides increased choice and convenience for members who want to connect with a nurse

The webchat service provides increased access to health support for people who’d prefer not to discuss health questions or concerns over the phone or face-to-face. The service also supports people with hearing or speech impairments. Members can access the service for health support wherever they are via the web portal on both desktop and mobile devices.

Medibank Nurse Triage Webchat Trial helps members access the right care at the right time

Members can access the service when they are unsure what to do about a health issue, or when they need to discuss a health concern. We want to empower members with the knowledge of what steps to take next based on the nurses’ expert opinion.

Members with hospital cover can access the webchat service Monday – Friday, 4pm – 10pm AEST (excluding public holidays), through to August 9th.

Log into your My Medibank dashboard between 4pm – 10pm AEST to chat to an experienced Medibank nurse

Members with hospital cover can also always call the 24/7 Health Advice Line on 1800 644 325 to speak to a Medibank nurse.
