Whip up this yummy baby pudding for your little one.

Age: Six months of eating plus
Makes: 1 generous serve

Ingredients

1⁄4 cup rice flakes (available in the health food section of your supermarket)
1⁄2 cup milk
1 tablespoon stewed apple

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Rice flakes will soften and you will end up with a porridge-like consistency.

For variation, add 1 teaspoon sultanas to the mix at the start of cooking, or omit the apple and add 1 tablespoon chopped banana at the end of cooking, stirring thoroughly.
