Eligible Medibank members^ can book an online doctor consult with Amplar Health, a health service provider within the Medibank Group. 

Get support through the Amplar Health Online Doctor that connects you to a doctor through phone or online tele/video consultations and pay no out-of-pocket fees on up to 3 consults provided between 1 October 2025 and 30 June 2026. T&Cs apply.

If you need more consultations than your Medibank policy covers, an additional fee may apply. You’ll be advised of any costs upfront before you finalise your booking, so there are no surprises, and you can decide what works best for you.

If you’re an eligible Medibank member with Overseas Workers and Visitors cover or Overseas Student Health cover (OSCH), you can connect with an online doctor and pay no out-of-pocket fees on consultations.

How online doctor can help*

Medical advice

If you’re feeling unwell or have questions about your health, a doctor can discuss your symptoms and offer medical advice. Some health concerns may be outside the scope of this service, but you’ll always be pointed in the right direction.

Medical certificates

A doctor may provide a medical certificate if it’s clinically suitable.

Prescriptions

A doctor may write prescriptions when it’s clinically suitable.

Referrals

A doctor may refer you to a specialist clinician or diagnostic health service when it’s clinically suitable.

How to book a consult
 

    1. Choose who the consult is for. Select yourself or someone else on your Policy.

    2. Create or review the Amplar Health patient profile  

    3. Book your appointment: Pick a time and choose either a video or phone consult.

    4. Check your confirmation SMS: You’ll get a text with the appointment details. If it's a video call, the link to join will be included.

    5. Join your consultation

      Video call: Click the link to join the waiting room.

      Phone call: The doctor will call you at the scheduled time.

    6. Get any follow-up info: The doctor may send documents by email or SMS during or after your consult.
