To make a claim with an iPhone or Apple watch, follow these steps below 

1. Open the My Medibank App (ensure you're on the latest version).

2. Tap on ‘Add your membership card to Apple Wallet’ on the home screen, and follow the prompts.

3. Your Medibank digital card will appear on the screen (this means you’re all set up).

4. Your Medibank digital card will automatically sync to your Apple Watch once it has been added to your iPhone.

5. Hold your device near the HICAPS terminal to process your claim.

With a Medibank digital card, you can tap your phone to make contactless claims at any extras provider with a HICAPS machine. Plus, having a Medibank digital card on your phone means you no longer need to carry your physical card with you. And if you’re new to Medibank, you can start using your Medibank digital card before your physical card arrives in the mail.

Yes, you can still use your physical card as usual. 

If you would like a new physical Medibank card, all you need to do is call us and request one.

On Android phones, the Medibank digital card resides within the My Medibank app and will auto refresh if there are any changes, so no updates will be required.

There is no card issue date on digital cards for Android phones yet. Contact us if you need help with an issue date here

Your Medibank digital card on your Android phone is protected with your My Medibank login details or device authentication. If your device authentication has been compromised, please contact Medibank to block the digital card.
