Things you should know

+ For Accidents that occur in Australia after your cover starts. Must seek medical treatment within 7 days, and receive hospital treatment within 12 months of the Accident occurring. Excludes Private Emergency Department Benefit, hospital bonus, claims covered by third parties and our Private Room Promise. Out of pockets may apply.

3 Eligible members on Medibank extras (excluding Healthy Living Extras and Gold Ultra Health) can claim a maximum of two 100% back dental check-ups per member, per year at a Members’ Choice Advantage provider (including bitewing x-rays where clinically required). For members on eligible extras, the first two check-ups do not count towards your annual limit. Members with Healthy Living Extras can get 100% back on one dental check-up each year at a Members’ Choice Advantage provider (including up to two bitewing x-rays, where clinically required) or at a Members’ Choice provider (excluding x-rays). Members with Gold Ultra Health can get 100% back on up to three dental check-ups at a Members’ Choice or Members’ Choice Advantage provider. Members’ Choice and Members’ Choice Advantage providers are not available in all areas. Some products may have other dental benefits, check your cover summary for details.

Join and start eligible Medibank Hospital or Hospital and Extras cover between 6 May – 30 June 2026 11:59pm AET; policyholder must be a current member of the Société by Luxury Escapes’ loyalty program; must be a new Medibank member on a new membership, and not have held Medibank or ahm health cover in the last 12 months (unless a dependent coming off parents’ cover); must hold Australian residence; must set up direct debit, quote promo code LUXURYESCAPES and enter the same email address that’s linked to their Luxury Escapes account at the time of joining.

Eligible Medibank Hospital Only cover or Hospital and Extras cover excludes Corporate, Ambulance only, Extras only, Overseas Visitors (OVC), Overseas Student Health Insurance (OSHC), Working Visa Health Insurance, Travel Insurance, Pet Insurance, Funeral Insurance, Life Insurance and all ahm covers. Not available with any other Medibank offer. Health insurance is issued by Medibank Private Limited ABN 47 080 890 259, a registered private health insurer.

Luxury Escapes Société points: Must maintain direct debit and hold the same level of eligible cover or above for at least 90 consecutive days from the policy start date to be credited Luxury Escapes Société points. Please allow 10 working days for points to be credited once the 90 day eligibility period has passed. Points may not be allocated where the Medibank policy is cancelled or refunded, or where payments are in arrears. Luxury Escapes Société membership, Points earn and redemption are subject to the Luxury Escapes member Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time. 

Membership of the Société by Luxury Escapes’ loyalty program must be valid, active, and not suspended at the time points are awarded. Points cannot be awarded to third-party accounts or transferred in lieu of enrolment. Luxury Escapes is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete or incorrect customer information.

The level of Luxury Escapes Société points you could earn is determined by referring to the weekly premium quoted for a policy for the first 12 months, (before any adjustment for the Australian Government Rebate on private health insurance and excluding any Lifetime Health Cover loading, Youth Discount or any other discount or promotion) regardless of the payment frequency selected - see table of rewards points offered for different levels of weekly premiums at medibank.com.au/luxuryescapes.

Points offered for different levels of weekly premiums are below:

Weekly premium $50 - $69 = 60,000 Société Points
Weekly premium $70 - $99 = 80,000 Société Points
Weekly premium $100 - $129 = 100,000 Société Points
Weekly premium $130 - $159 = 150,000 Société Points
Weekly premium $160+ = 200,000 Société Points

2&6 month waits waived on eligible extras for new Medibank members who join hospital and extras cover: Other waiting periods apply (including 12 months on some dental services). If switching funds, any waiting periods you’ve already served for comparable extras will generally be recognised if you join Medibank within 2 months of leaving your previous fund. Annual limits apply. If switching funds, limits used from your previous fund may be deducted. If you’ve reached your limits from a previous fund you may not be able to claim straight away.
