Personalised wellbeing at your fingertips - Medibank's workplace health app

To achieve our goal of the healthiest workplace, we need to create a healthier, more supportive workplace that meets the evolving needs of our people. To help achieve this, we introduced a workplace health and wellbeing app designed to deliver personalised support and insights directly to employees. Launched in February 2025, the app has had strong engagement with employees who are able to access personalised health content and support at their fingertips.
The app provides employees with easy access to a range of health and wellbeing resources, tailored to individual needs. From guided movement breaks and mental health tools, to sleep support and health assessments, the app puts wellbeing in the hands of our people, including:
- A personal wellbeing hub – accessible anytime, anywhere, with tailored content based on an initial virtual health assessment.
- Evidence-based, personalised resources – covering fitness, mental health, sleep, nutrition, and women’s health, designed to support each employee’s unique journey.
- Seamless access to Medibank health services – including virtual GP appointments, psychology support, skin checks, and our 24/7 Health Support Line.
Beyond individual support, the app also generates aggregated and de-identified data, giving our Health, Safety and Wellbeing team valuable insights into workforce health trends. This data helps shape future programs, campaigns, and support services to ensure they’re relevant and impactful.
- Initial reporting revealed two key areas of concern:
- Many employees were not getting enough quality sleep.
- A significant number of respondents reported that women’s health issues—particularly perimenopause and menopause—were affecting their overall wellbeing.
In response, Medibank has made women’s health a priority going into FY26. We are actively working towards becoming an Accredited Menopause Friendly Workplace, ensuring our policies, education, and support systems reflect the needs of our people.
By combining personalised support with data-driven insights, we are creating a workplace where wellbeing is not just encouraged—it’s embedded in how we work.
