Mentoring Program

The 12-week Medibank Mentoring Program offers up to 10 successful candidates the unique experience to connect with a Medibank mentor who will support your professional or personal development.^#

Candidate Coach by Medibank provides video coaching, resume templates, live webinars, interview questions, practice tests, checklists, articles & blogs to help prepare you for getting a job.

What is the Medibank Academy?

The Medibank Academy is an industry-first program. A limited number of places in the Medibank Academy will be offered exclusively from 1 October 2025 to 31 December 2026 to IDP students.

How can I find out about upcoming Medibank internship or Mentoring Program opportunities?

All upcoming Medibank Academy opportunities and resources will be communicated to you by IDP via email and published on the Academy website. You can always check this website for future updates and general information.

When can I apply for the Medibank Academy program opportunities?

The Job-Ready Skills resources will be available online year-round. Check the website for information about webinar dates.
Applications for the Mentoring Program are expected to open in February 2026.
Applications for the paid internship are expected to open in February 2026. The successful candidate is expected to commence their internship in March 2026. The paid internship will be located in Melbourne or Sydney. Accommodation and travel expenses are excluded.

Can I apply for and participate in more than one program within the Medibank Academy?

Yes! We encourage all candidates to benefit from the Job-Ready Skills program, and apply for the Mentoring and Internship programs.

If your application for the Internship program is successful, you will no longer be considered for the Mentoring program. This is to ensure opportunities are shared between candidates.

Do I need to be studying a specific course or discipline to apply for any part of the Medibank Academy?

No. The opportunities available in the Medibank Academy are suitable for a wide range of skills, so you can apply for Medibank Academy opportunities no matter what you’re studying.

Eligibility criteria

Available for current IDP students, whether or not they hold Medibank OSHC membership.
All other parts of the Medibank Academy except the paid internship are distance-based and are available to eligible students Australia-wide.
Programs commencement dates are subject to change and eligible members will be notified via email.
Must be current IDP students to apply for and participate in any part of the Medibank Academy.
Places in the Medibank Internship and Mentoring Program are limited.
Medibank may withdraw or amend this offer at any time.
