You can register for My Medibank online or on the app.
To register for My Medibank on the app, you'll need to download the app first. Your device needs to be running iOS 16 or above, or Android 10 or above. If not, please follow the instructions for How to register for My Medibank on the web.
To register for My Medibank, you need to be a Medibank member (ie. have Medibank health insurance). The name you use must be the same as the one you use on your policy.
Open the My Medibank app.
Tap Register.
On the registration screen, type your membership number, first name, last name (ie. surname), and date of birth.
Tap Next.
On the email confirmation screen, type your email address.
This must be a unique email address. It can't be one already being used by another member on the policy, or even one you used for a previous policy.
Tap Next.
On the password screen, create a new password.

contain at least 1 uppercase letter
contain at least 1 lowercase letter
contain at least 1 number
contain at least 1 special character.
Under Confirm password, re-enter the new password.
Tap Next.
Check your email using the email address you provided.
Open the verification email from Medibank and tap on the link to continue.
The My Medibank app will open.
Go to www.medibank.com.au.
If on desktop: Click Log in in the top right corner of the webpage.
If on mobile: Click the person icon in the top right corner.
Click the word Register in the pop-up window.
On the registration page, enter your membership number, first name, last name (ie. surname), and date of birth.
Click Next.
