If you’ve already joined another fund, we’ll initiate the closure of that membership for you and for any other members on your policy with the other fund.
Step 3
If you’ve made a payment to the other fund, we’ll request a refund on your behalf. If you are within your 30-day cooling off period and haven't made any claims with the new fund, that payment may be refunded to you.
Step 4
There’s nothing else you need to do. We’ll take care of the admin and send you a confirmation email or text once the offer has been processed.

- And if you’ve cancelled your Medibank policy but would like to stay, call us on the number below and we’ll talk through your options.
- Staying with Medibank: By clicking on “Accept this offer” in your email or accepting the offer over the phone, you’re letting us know you’d like to stay with Medibank. This means Medibank will cancel your request to transfer to a new fund.
- Cancelling your new fund membership: By accepting the offer, you authorise Medibank to initiate the cancellation of your membership and of any other members included on your policy with the other fund. If you are within the 30‑day cooling off period with that fund and you haven't made claims with the new fund, any payments you’ve made may be refunded to you.
- Applying your discount: When you accept the offer, Medibank will apply the 12% discount on your premium for 12 months from the day after your premiums are currently paid to.
- When the discount will not be applied: Your 12% discount on your premium for 12 months will no longer apply if, at any time during the discount period, you change to an ineligible cover, suspend your policy, or terminate your policy. This includes:
- switching to any of the following ineligible products: Medibank Corporate cover, Accident‑only cover, Ambulance‑only cover, Overseas Visitors Cover, Overseas Students Health Cover, Working Visa Health Insurance, or ahm health insurance;
- suspending or cancelling your policy; or
- circumstances where applying the discount would cause Medibank to breach applicable private health insurance laws.
- Combining with other offers: The 12% discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Changes to these terms: By accepting the offer, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Medibank may amend these terms if required by law or due to circumstances outside our reasonable control. If this happens, we’ll let you know.
