Supporting local communities in FY26
16 September 2026
Our people continue to make a meaningful difference in the communities where they live and work through volunteering and donation initiatives.
During the year, our corporate offices came together to collect essential items for the DV Collective, helping support women and children escaping domestic violence.
As part of Volunteering Month, Medibank employees across Australia volunteered with their local Foodbank, contributing their time to support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Through hands-on volunteering, our people helped Foodbank deliver vital assistance to communities facing cost-of-living pressures and other challenges.
Our people also used their time Gift Day to support causes close to their hearts. Members of our Legal team volunteered with RSPCA Victoria, helping support the organisation's important work caring for and rehoming animals.
Teams also came together for impact-driven volunteering experiences. Our Enterprise Technology Services team participated in the SolarBuddy program, assembling solar lights that will be distributed to children living in energy poverty. The activity provided a tangible way for employees to help improve access to safe, reliable light for children and families in underserved communities around the world.
The Policy, Advocacy & Reputation team volunteered with Reading Out of Poverty, wrapping books for children experiencing disadvantage as part of the Christmas Book Giving initiative. Their efforts helped prepare gifts that will encourage a love of reading and bring joy to children during the festive season.
We're proud of the generosity and community spirit demonstrated by our employees, who continue to give their time, skills and support to causes that create meaningful social impact across Australia and beyond.
