The Weekly Goal is designed based on both local and international best practice from the World Health Organisation, Australian Physical Activity guidelines, Sleep Foundation and leading Harvard research.

How to get started

1. Connect a health app

Connect via ‘manage app/devices’ in Live Better rewards in the My Medibank app to be auto enrolled in the Weekly Goal. Learn more about device connection.


2. Complete activities

Consistency is key - aim to complete one activity per day to complete 7 in a week. Don't worry if you miss a day, you can catch up and record up to 2 activities per day.


3. Earn Live Better points

If you hit your Weekly Goal, you will earn 200 points that you can use to redeem on a range of rewards. *^



What counts towards the Weekly Goal

Complete 7 activities in total throughout the week – it's your choice when and which activities you do! 

7,000 steps

Walk, run, jog or dance.

30 or 60 active minutes

Raise your heart rate with exercise.

7 hours of sleep

Time asleep.

30 minutes of strength training

Workouts, weightlifting and more.

15 minutes of meditation

Focus your mind and awareness.

15 minutes of flexibility

Yoga, pilates, stretching and more.

Redeem exciting rewards

Once you’ve racked up those points, redeem rewards from our range of partner brands including THE ICONIC, Apple and adidas or a payment towards your premium. 

How your data is used

Data from your connected health app or wearable is only used to track progress on the Weekly Goal and some Challenges. By law, the information collected by Live Better rewards will never affect your private health insurance premiums. Click here for more information.

Things you should know

* Must be 16 years or over to register for Medibank Live Better rewards in the My Medibank app. Some program partners and earning activities require a person to be at least 18 years of age to be eligible to earn and/or redeem a reward. Must be a Medibank member with hospital cover, extras cover, or hospital and extras cover, and be up-to-date with premium payments. Excludes Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), Ambulance only cover, ahm covers and other selected covers. ^ Medibank Live Better Challenges & Goals Earning Policy: The participant of a Medibank Live Better Challenge or Goal may not receive Live Better points or may have their already credited Live Better points reversed in accordance with the Medibank Live Better terms and conditions. To earn Live Better points, the participant needs to properly complete 100% of the eligible Challenge according to the instructions. The number of Live Better points available for Medibank Live Better Challenges and Goals is subject to change without prior notice. The maximum number of Live Better points that each Medibank Live Better member can earn from successfully completing health and wellbeing Challenges, Goals or any Onboarding action in a calendar year is 40,000 Live Better points. To the extent of any inconsistency between this Policy and the Medibank Live Better terms and conditions, the terms and conditions will take precedence.
