Hospital support when you need it most

Our Health Concierge provides eligible members with personalised, preventative health assistance to help prepare for, or recover from, a hospital stay or treatment. It’s our way of offering that extra care and support to our members who need it most.

Health advice

If you need clinical advice, we connect you to our 24/7 Health Advice Line, or link you to services in the community and other health programs.

Hospital support

We help take the stress out of an upcoming hospital stay, a new diagnosis, or an ongoing condition. We even check in with regular follow-up calls at key times during your health journey.

Health education

We provide practical tools and resources to help you manage your health every day.

If you meet the criteria to access Health Concierge we’ll call you either before or after your hospital admission (depending on your treatment).

Here are the treatments eligible for Health Concierge:

  • Hip and knee replacements: members undergoing a ‘Total Hip’ or ‘Total Knee’ replacement
  • Certain cardiac procedures: members undergoing certain procedures for the treatment of coronary heart disease such as stents, bypass surgery, valve replacement, or those who’ve suffered a heart attack.
  • Over 75 years: members over 75 years and living with a chronic illness who are going to hospital
  • Pregnancy: members who have a birth-related obstetrics admission
  • Cancer: members undergoing treatment for prostate cancer or breast cancer.

Our Health Concierge is highly-skilled in providing exceptional support to people going through stressful times. The service begins with a call from the concierge who assess your circumstances before offering the best kind of support for your situation. Depending on your condition, they may follow up at a later date to check how you’re getting on.

Eligible members on Health Concierge can access:

  • Information, follow-up calls, and links to clinical and non-clinical services, including our 24/7 Health Advice Line for assistance, or our Customer Support Centre for questions about health insurance.
  • Advice on going to and from hospital, including what to pack, information on procedures, and tips for a speedy recovery.
  • A range of our health programs and services are available, if appropriate, including CarePoint, CareFirst, CareTransition, and Rehabilitation-in-the-Home.
