Make a claim online and with the Medibank Mobile App

We've made it even easier to claim for a whole range of services online and with a smart phone. Get payments made directly to your bank account, or cheques posted through the mail. Just follow the steps below.

Make sure you ask your health care provider if they offer on-the-spot claiming. This is the easiest way of all to claim; just swipe your Medibank membership card and your claim will be processed on the spot. Then all you do is pay the balance.

To make a claim online:

  1. Register or login to Online Member Services.
  2. Select 'Make a new extras claim'.
  3. Follow the five simple steps to submit your claim.
  4. Medibank will then pay any applicable benefits directly into your bank account or send a cheque in the mail.

  • Chiropractic
  • Clinical Psychology
  • Dietetics
  • Dental
  • Myotherapy
  • Naturopathy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Optical items
  • Orthodontics
  • Eye therapy
  • Osteopathy
  • Pharmaceuticals (non-PBS)
  • Physiotherapy
  • Podiatry
  • Remedial massage
  • Speech therapy

To make a claim with the Medibank Mobile App:

  1. Download and install the app by searching for “Medibank” in the App Store (for iPhone users) or Android Market (for Android™ mobile users).
  2. Login using your Online Member Services Login ID and Password
  3. Click on “My Claims” and follow the instructions under “Make a Claim”.
  4. Medibank will then pay any applicable benefits directly into your bank account or send a cheque in the mail.

Depending on your level of cover, you can claim for the following services via the Medibank Mobile App:

  • Chiropractic
  • Dental
  • Optical
  • Physiotherapy

How to make a claim that you can't submit online

The following claims can be made by mailing the accounts and/or receipts to Medibank with a completed claim form:

  • Ambulance services (medically necessary)
  • Claims involving compensation or damages
  • GapCover claims (surgeons, anaesthetists, assistants etc.)
  • Health appliances
  • Hospital accommodation
  • Individual claims associated to more than one individual
  • School accident
  • Natural therapies

To make one of these claims, simply download and print the appropriate claim form below.

Then mail your completed claim form with accounts/receipts to:
