Does your health cover need a health check?

Medibank is urging members to get the most out of their extras by ensuring they’re using the benefits they are entitled to, and getting the best value out of their cover.

Medibank’s General Manager, Product, Luke Fishley said members were not always aware of how to best utilise their cover.

“At Medibank our health cover provides great value benefits, and we want to ensure that our members use the extras their entitled to in order to stay healthy and prevent the onset of preventable health issues,” Mr Fishley said.

“Whether it is having a scale and clean at the dentist, updating their glasses at the optometrist or making an appointment with a physiotherapist – making the most of the benefits offered will lead to long-term health benefits.”

Mr Fishley said that Medibank was committed to providing as much information as possible to ensure members understood and utilised their health cover.

“At Medibank we have a commitment to the better health of our members and ensuring people get the best value out of their extras cover is helping them on their path to betterment.

“We’re urging members to download the app or contact us direct to find out what they can still claim for. If they’re not claiming they may be on the wrong cover and we want to help them find the best cover for them.

Medibank’s new national marketing campaign challenges existing and prospective members to assess whether they’re getting the best possible value from their health insurance.

“The Medibank Health Check campaign aims to show customers that real health insurance value is not just about price, but also superior product features,” Mr Fishley said.

“We’re asking new and existing customers - are you getting what you think you’ll get and could you be doing better?

“To help answer these questions, new customers can get a Health Cover Health Check where we’ll help them find a solution that is right for them and does right by them,” he said.

“Just by calling our customer contact centre and answering some simple questions we’ll be able to let customers know exactly what products they’re receiving and whether this is working for them.”
