HICAPS service disruption - claiming alternatives
Members experiencing difficulties claiming ancillary benefits due to the HICAPS service disruption are encouraged to claim via Medibank Private's Online Member Servicesuntil the HICAPS facility is restored.
HICAPS has informed Medibank Private they are working on a solution, but are presently unable to advise when the service will be fully restored.
Due to the disruption, some Medibank Private retail centres are experiencing long waiting times to submit claims. Members can avoid the queues by submitting claims online, with the payment made directly into their bank account within 5-10 working days.
Online Member Services pays benefits for the following extras:
- Clinical psychology
- Occupational Therapy
- Optical appliances
- Remedial massage
- Speech pathology (therapy)
