Medibank and ahm are offering financial support to customers in flood affected areas of south-east Queensland and northern NSW.

Medibank Group Executive Customer Portfolios Milosh Milisavljevic said it’s devastating to see the impact of the unfolding flood situation on our customers, local businesses and the broader community.

“We are thinking of all those across south-east Queensland and northern NSW who are impacted by the flood emergency. Our thoughts are especially with those who have been forced to evacuate their homes and close their businesses,” he said.

“We are ready to support our customers and the broader communities through this difficult time.”

Medibank and ahm customers who have held hospital cover for at least 3 months and are in a flood-impacted area of south east Queensland or northern NSW may be eligible for support.

Eligible customers can suspend their policy for up to 2 years or waive their premiums for up to 3 months.

“We encourage our customers to contact us for support,” Mr Milisavljevic said.

“Given the toll of the last 2 years with the COVID pandemic and now the floods, we also want to remind Medibank customers that they can access the Medibank Mental Health Phone Support line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1800 644 325 with any concerns.”

Meantime, 13 Medibank retail stores across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Toowoomba are closed due to flooding.

Our people will work from home until it’s safe to return to stores.

Medibank customers can contact 132 331 and ahm customers 134 246 for support.
