8 February update: Medibank has reopened stores in Western Australia following the Government lifting some COVID-19 restrictions.

In response to the West Australian Premier’s decision to place parts of the state into a 5-day lockdown, Medibank will temporarily close some of its stores.

Since last night, Perth, the Peel region and the South West region remain under stay at home orders due to COVID-19.

Medibank Chief Customer Officer David Koczkar said in response to the government restrictions, a decision has been made to temporarily close stores.

“The priority is to protect the health of our people, customers and everyone in the wider community throughout this period.

“While we are closing 9 stores, our people will continue to support our customers through our digital channels and phone and messaging services while working from home.

“We thank our West Australian customers for their patience during this time and look forward to welcoming them back in store soon,” Mr Koczkar said.

Customers needing support can find a range of resources at medibank.com.au, in their My Medibank app, or access agent support through web messaging or by calling 132 331.

Customers can also visit the website or My Medibank app to check their local store hours.
