    COVID-19 self isolation

During the changing situation with COVID-19 it’s important we take care of ourselves, family and friends to get through this uncertain time.

This is an unprecedented time for people living in Australia as we may experience feelings of uncertainty and fear as the situation around COVID-19 continues to evolve.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recently acknowledged the importance of supporting each other through potential mental health challenges at this time:

Customers with hospital cover needing support can call the Medibank mental health phone support line 24/7 on 1800 644 325. Our experienced mental health professionals can help with strategies to reduce anxiety and worry associated with the pandemic.

Remember it’s important to stay up to date with the advice from the Australian Government and the Department of Health during this time.

For general information on precautions to take to prevent the spread of coronavirus, please see our story here, if you are concerned and seeking information call the Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080. The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Additionally, Medibank is also helping to support the health and wellbeing of its employees with the introduction of paid Special Leave of two weeks to support any team member (permanent, fixed term or casual) who may be affected by COVID-19.
