11 January 2021 update - Medibank will reopen stores in Greater Brisbane on 12 January 2021 following the Government lifting some COVID-19 restrictions. The Gold Coast stores will also reopen.

Medibank will temporarily close its retail stores in Greater Brisbane following the Queensland Premier’s announcement today that the Local Government Areas of Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan will enter a three-day COVID-19 lockdown.

Medibank Chief Customer Officer David Koczkar said in light of the announcement, closing stores in the impacted areas was necessary.

“We are closing these stores to support the health and wellbeing of our team, our customers and everyone in the community.

“We thank these local communities for their patience and understanding at the current time, and look forward to welcoming our customers back in store soon,” Mr Koczkar said.

Medibank's three stores on the Gold Coast will also be closed.

Medibank remains focused on providing customers with all the support they need, and can continue to call 132 331, log onto the My Medibank app or use 24/7 web chat via the website for any enquiries.

Customers can visit the website or My Medibank app to check their local store hours.
