Update Medibank will tomorrow (Tuesday 10 August) reopen its regional Victorian stores following an easing of restrictions in regional Victoria.

A new COVID-19 outbreak in Melbourne has led to the temporary closure of Medibank retail stores across Victoria from close of business today.

In line with Victorian Government restrictions, the stores will remain shut until further notice.

Medibank Head of Retail Andrew Carlson said while the stores are closed for the time being, customers can continue to access support in other ways.

“We are still here to support our customers when they need us, with resources available through Medibank.com.au, in the My Medibank app, speaking to a team member through web messaging or calling 132 331,” he said.

Team members from the retail stores will return to working from home, supporting customers across our phone and digital channels.

“We thank our customers for their patience during this time and we look forward to welcoming them back into store when it’s safe to do so,” Mr Carlson said.

“It’s important that we do our part to stop the spread of the virus and protect the health and wellbeing of our people, customers and the wider community.”
