Help for pets during the bushfires

    Medibank Pet Insurance

Medibank Pet Insurance will provide its customers, regardless of their policy type, with cover for any pet health complications, as a result of the bushfires across Australia.

Pets may require treatment for burns, smoke inhalation and respiratory conditions such as asthma and bronchitis, which can be exacerbated or worsened by poor air quality.

We will also extend it to cover emergency boarding for all cats and dogs which have no access to accommodation due to bushfires, or have been displaced or evacuated due to the threat of bushfires.

“The bushfire damage has been unprecedented, and we want to do everything we can to support our customers through this heartbreaking time, said Chief Customer Officer David Koczkar.

“We know how much Australians love and care for their pets which is why we want to ensure they get the treatment they need.

“Regardless of a customer’s level of cover, we will cover treatment their pet may need, due to complications from bushfires.”

This extended cover will only be available for costs that are incurred on or before 29 February 2020.
