Medibank (ASX:MPL) Chief Executive Officer Craig Drummond today announced changes to the Executive Leadership Team.

Mr Drummond said that Medibank was committed to improving customer experience with the company. In order to deliver on this, changes would be made to the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that there was clear focus and accountability on delivering improved outcomes.

“David Koczkar will assume the role of Group Executive – Chief Customer Officer. We know as an organisation that we have to improve our engagement with our customers. David and his team will lead this work to deliver a better experience and enhanced value for our customers.

“Andrew Wilson, Group Executive – PNIC will now also be accountable for Medibank’s strategy and innovation. Andrew is a highly regarded health executive and has driven significant transformation during his time at Medibank. The strategic and innovation agenda will focus on improving customer outcomes, while driving long term sustainable success for the business.

“I am also delighted to appoint Mei Ramsay to the Executive Leadership Team as Group Executive – Legal, Governance and Regulatory Affairs. For the last 5 years, Mei has been the company’s Group General Counsel and since listing has taken on the role of Company Secretary. Mei’s portfolio will now also include Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.

“After 4 years with Medibank, our CFO, Paul Koppelman will be leaving the company. I would like to thank Paul for his significant contribution to Medibank, and in particular for his role in leading the company through the IPO process that culminated in Medibank becoming a publicly listed company. As a result, we will commence an external search for a new CFO and while this process is conducted Tom Exton, Group Financial Controller, will act in the role of CFO” Mr Drummond said.

Kylie Bishop remains Group Executive – People and Culture and, as announced in August, John Goodall will join the company as Group Executive – Technology and Operations. All changes are effective immediately.

“We have a big agenda to deliver and in order to achieve this we need to have the right team in place with clear accountabilities. I am confident that the changes provide this focus and will drive better outcomes for our customers and the business,” Mr Drummond said.
