Medibank Private has today been advised by The Hon. Senator Minchin that the Commonwealth Government will undertake a scoping study into the possible sale of our business.
Given the substantial improvement in business performance over the past 3 years we fully understand the Government's decision to refresh the original scoping study.
We wish to take this opportunity to let our customers and business partners know that while we will assist the Government with their information needs, we won't be taking our eye off the ball. Delivering great service and value-for-money private health insurance will continue to be our number one priority.
We will not indulge in speculation on the possible outcome of the scoping study. This is a matter for the Government. For the Medibank team it is business as usual.
