Medibank is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Hodgett as Non-Executive Director.
Mr Hodgett has been appointed by Finance Minister the Hon. Penny Wong for a three year term, effective 21 June 2013.
He brings significant skills to the Medibank Board due to a respected senior career in superannuation, funds management, life and general insurances in Australia and the UK.
Elizabeth Alexander AM, Chairman of Medibank, said that Mr Hodgett's significant experience in insurance would be a valuable asset to the Board and broader organisation.

Mr Hodgett is currently a director of CBA's major superannuation and wealth management businesses, Colonial First State Investments Ltd and Avanteos Investments Ltd, and AMP Capital's Aged Care Investment Services.
He is a senior consultant with Audrey Page Associates and in the past four years has led a leadership program as Chairman of the Institute of Actuaries Leadership Committee. Peter is also a mentor and executive coach working with CEOs and senior executives.
"Peter's areas of expertise will complement the current Board capabilities and enhance our focus on Group and business operations," Ms Alexander added.
Mr Hodgett's past directorships include Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited, Life Insurance Actuarial Standards Board, AMP's Life Insurance, Funds Management, Superannuation and General Insurance businesses.
