    Medibank appoints Mark Rogers as Chief Financial Officer

    Medibank (ASX:MPL) Chief Executive Officer Craig Drummond today announced the appointment of Mark Rogers to the role of Group Executive - Chief Financial Officer.

    “Mark is an executive with more than 20 years’ experience spanning health and financial services, including the insurance sector, and I am delighted to have him join our organisation and the Executive Leadership Team,” Mr Drummond said.

    “For the last four years Mark has held the role of General Manager – Group Performance and Planning at National Australia Bank (NAB). Prior to his time at NAB, Mark led Strategy and Development for the healthcare company, Mayne Group.

    “Mark’s professional experience means that he comes to our organisation with a blend of strong financial experience and sectorial knowledge, which will be beneficial for our organisation. His appointment completes the renewal of the Executive Leadership Team giving us a strong base to deliver on our strategy and refocus the business on our customers,” Mr Drummond said.

    Mr Rogers will commence in the role of Group Executive - Chief Financial Officer in January 2017.

    Mark Rogers has more than 20 years’ experience in the health sector and financial services, including insurance.

    Since 2013 Mark has held the role of General Manager, Group Performance and Planning at National Australia Bank (NAB), where he had carriage of management reporting, performance management, planning and forecasting and capital allocation. Prior to this Mark was the General Manager, Group Development at NAB. During this time Mark was involved in mergers and acquisitions, and corporate development. This role also included leading interactions with regulatory authorities including the ACCC and APRA.

    Before joining NAB, Mark was responsible for Group Strategy and Development for the Mayne Group, where he was accountable for the management of the Group’s strategy, capital management and was involved in health sector related customer and supplier negotiations. While at the Mayne Group, Mark also led Group Investor Relations.

    Mark graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science.
