Medibank Private has confirmed Michael Sammells, who has been Acting Chief Financial Officer since 3 October 2005, as its new CFO.
George Savvides, Managing Director said, "I am pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Michael Sammells to the role of CFO.
Michael Sammells joined Medibank Private in August 2003 and has most recently headed the successful hospital contracting team. Prior to joining Medibank Private, Michael was the CFO and Director of Finance and Corporate Services at Southern Health, Victoria's largest public health network. He has also held senior commercial, finance and operational roles within the Mayne Group.
