Vote To Get More Kids Playing

Which projects should share in $500,000 to get kids active in the 2016 Medibank Community Grants?

Kids today don’t get enough exercise. In fact, eight out of 10 kids in Australia aged 5-17 do not get the recommended daily dose of physical activity. The 2016 Medibank Community Grants are directly supporting programs that get children and young people moving outside of school.

This year, 19 outstanding community groups and non-profits across Australia have been shortlisted from 300 applications for the grants program, which will provide $500,000 in funding to support initiatives that that encourage healthy, active habits in childhood.

These community grants support Medibank’s Growing Healthy Kids program, which is about working with the community to address the growing problem of childhood obesity and help lay the foundations for a healthy active life.

Now, we want your say! Help us to choose the most inspiring, promising and valuable projects by voting for your favourite shortlisted program. Voting is open now until Sunday November 22, 2015.

To find out more about the shortlisted projects and place your vote, visit http://medibankcommunitygrants.com.au.
