Giving our Customer Service efforts a boost
We’ve put a lot of focus on ramping up our Customer Service efforts to ensure that we have a presence everywhere our members need us. In the last 12 months we’ve completed refurbishments to a number of our stores and we have upgrades planned for many more.
More and more of our members interact with us online or over the phone, so this is an area of our service that we are growing. We have expanded our call centre team and have introduced 24/7 online chat, so you can talk to an expert any time of the day or night to have all your queries answered.
We’re also upgrading our Online Members’ Services channel to make it even easier to manage your membership, pay your premiums and make extras claims online whenever it suits you. Log in to My Medibank.
Ways to help you manage your health
The Medibank Mobile App helps you manage your health care with the touch of a button. View and manage your health cover, search for Members’ Choice providers in your area, and even lodge claims for some extras services – the power is at your fingertips.
This year, we will providing you with quarterly Activity Statements so you can easily keep track of your health cover usage, the benefits we’ve paid and the remaining balances you have for extras services.
Plus, we are inviting all of our members to Live Better – each month we’ll send you a collection of health, lifestyle and fitness articles that have been hand-picked to help you on your wellness journey. Make sure you’ve updated your communications preferences in My Medibank.
Providing health cover options that are fit to measure
We are also committed to expanding our range of health cover to cater for members at all different stages of life.
For those with intentions to expand their family, we’ve introduced a variety of covers under our Growing Family range. So whether you are preparing to start a family or planning to add a new member in the future, we have a range of covers that can support you.
And for those that want to take-up Extras cover to help them achieve their health and wellbeing goals, our Healthy Start Extras offers some great benefits for services like dental, physio, optical and plenty more.
We encourage all of our members to make the most of their Extras – it’s the best thing you can do for maintaining your health. That’s why we are offering 100% back on selected services.
All Medibank members with extras cover for two months or more can now get 100% back on an annual dental check-up (excluding x-rays) at a Members’ Choice dentist.
And members with Extras cover (that have served any waiting periods) can get 100% back for frames, prescription glasses, contacts and more, up to their annual limit, at any Members’ Choice provider.*
We’re here to help you navigate the health system
The health care system can be a complex beast at times, but we are here to make things easier for you.
If you need to find a specialist, we have more than 8,000 providers in our Members’ Choice network who can provide you with the service you need, and where you can get back a higher percentage from us. Members’ Choice providers also have fixed pricing for some treatments, so you’ll always know the costs up front.
When a hospital visit is on the cards, we know that can be a stressful time and you will probably have a lot of questions. That’s why we’ve prepared a comprehensive guide on ‘Going to Hospital – what you need to know’. It’s a handy step-by-step guide on what to expect before, during and after your stay; helpful info on the costs involved and how you can minimise your out-of-pocket costs; and some advice on what you can do to return to health as soon as possible.
