    Body composition scales

Medibank Members Nathan and Marcele share how body composition scales can be beneficial to you.

    Body Composition Scales

    Tanita BC541 RRP $199.95

How did you use the product?

Nathan: I followed the set up instructions for the product and started by entering all of my basic information such as height, gender, age etc and then I recorded my baseline weight measurement.

Marcele: I used the scales first thing in the morning and before I went to bed at night.

What did you like about it?

Nathan: It gave me more than just the weight measurement; it also provided readings of body fat, bone density and metabolic age.

Marcele: Showing more than one basic indication of the results of exercise was helpful – it’s sophisticated in the information it provides. Aesthetically, the scales look great too.

What features did you use the most and why?

Nathan: I used the weight loss indicator and body fat percentage features the most. I felt that being able to assess my body fat was helpful to better achieve my goals in weight loss.

Marcele: It’s easy to think that the best results are if I’m losing weight, but making sure that my body fat isn’t getting too high is a really important indication.

Did it contribute to better health?

Nathan: Yes, I am now much more aware of where my body is at compared to what it should be for someone my age.

Marcele: Yes, the information provided by the scales is multidimensional and gives you far more insight into your body than traditional scales.

Any tips to people who use this product?

Nathan: I would suggest recording your weight and statistics so you can monitor it weekly or monthly and see changes over time in the data collected.

Marcele: Like anything related to health and well-being, you need to make sure you do it regularly and link it into an exercise program so the results are relevant.
