Each year, the Medibank Community Fund provides grants for grassroots community programs that play an important role in encouraging better health and wellbeing in their local area. Projects that promote healthy eating, physical activity, mental wellbeing and greater community connectedness are chosen to receive a share in funding that will allow them to continue and grow their important work.
This year, 33 outstanding community groups and non-profits across Australia and New Zealand have been shortlisted for the grants program, which will provide $600,000 in funding to support health and wellbeing initiatives.
Now, we want your say in which projects should receive a Medibank Community Grant. For the first time, the public is encouraged to vote for the shortlisted projects in their region, helping us to choose the most inspiring, promising and valuable projects to support.
Voting is open now until Friday 5 December, 2014.
