Healthy halloween party snacks

Halloween is scary enough without considering how much sugar you’ve consumed.

1. Capsicum jack-o’-lanterns

Easy to make with a 10th of the mess of traditional pumpkins – plus they’re completely edible so nothing is wasted. Try it with hollowed out oranges with a candle in them too, and your house will smell divine.

2. Frightening fruit

Press a few choc chips (or sultanas if you want to be really healthy!) into banana halves and celery into peeled mandarins and, tada! Spookily scrummy snacks.

3. Monster mouths

With only three ingredients – apple slices, peanut butter and macadamia nuts – these moreish mouths are simple to whip up and tasty to boot.

4. Almond ‘fingers’

It’s amazing what a simple change to the shape of your cookies and an almond can do.

5. Pumpkin platter

A Halloween snack everyone can dip into.

6. Pumpkin muffins

Wholemeal flour and hidden vegetables make these a nutritious winner.

7. Blueberry spiders

Not only are these little guys seriously cute, there seriously easy to make. Spear blueberries or grapes onto six bent toothpicks and press into a plum.
