Choc banana smoothie

Blend up a large frozen banana with ¾ cup low fat milk, ¾ cup Greek yogurt, 3 tablespoons of raw cacao powder (or unsweetened cocoa powder), a tablespoon of peanut butter and a tablespoon of honey. There’s endless ways to be creative with this and make it your own. Think flax seeds, chia seeds, coconut or frozen blueberries for a few ideas to start.

Easy apple crumble

A cosy autumn dessert, with the natural sweetness of apples and cinnamon. Chop up some apples, mix in some oats and sauté with butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Spoon into cups and serve with low fat cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon – quick, easy and scrumptious.

Choc chip chia muffins

Get your chocolate fix without it being overpowering – with the bonus nutritional power-boost of chia. Mix together a cup of wholemeal flour, a cup of oats and 1/3 cup of sugar with a little baking powder. Add a large egg, ¼ cup of olive oil, a cup of milk and a splash of vanilla essence, then stir in ½ a cup of dark chocolate chips and ½ a cup of chia seeds. Mix well, spoon out into a lightly greased muffin tin and into the oven they go.

Berry breakfast sundae

A festive breakfast to start your day. Place some frozen berries in apple juice in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for a few minutes before stirring in a little honey and setting aside to cool. Spoon on top of some crunchy granola and thick natural yogurt – delicious!
