Medibank Melbourne Marathon a huge success

Six records were set and over 30,000 people took (many) small steps to better health.

True to form, Melbourne provided four seasons in one day for the 2013 Medibank Melbourne Marathon Festival. With huge numbers of people participating across all distances, the event was a huge success. The theme of this year’s event, Anything is Possible, certainly rang true with six records set. Australian Lisa Weightman was victorious in the women’s marathon, smashing the race record by over six minutes and running a personal best of 2:26:05. Lisa’s was not the only personal best on the day, with over 30,000 people taking part – all taking small steps to better health.

Medibank congratulates everyone who took part, supported and made this great event possible.
