7 ways to enjoy pomegranates

Interested to try pomegranate in some new ways?

1. Leafy salad

Toss pomegranate seeds together in a salad of dark leafy greens, slices of pear, pecans or walnuts, and maybe a little goat’s cheese.

2. Breakfast parfait

For a breakfast that tastes like dessert, layer berries, granola and natural yoghurt in a glass and sprinkle seeds on top.

3. Olive tapenade

Something about the flavour pairing of olives and pomegranate seeds just works so well. Serve together as an appetiser, or whip up a black olive tapenade and top with seeds.

4. Pilaf

Bursting beads of pomegranate bring a colourful touch to a pilaf of brown rice, chopped almonds, chives and parsley.

5. Bruschetta

Toast up some baguette slices, spread on some goat’s cheese, and add those juicy pink seeds, red onion and minced parsley.

6. Roast chicken

Create a burnished glaze with pomegranate juice and rosemary, then add the seeds for serving.

7. Soup garnish

Finish off a creamy autumn soup like pumpkin, apple or carrot and sweet potato with a sprinkling of magenta seeds.
