It’s like Christmas for foodies – Taste of Melbourne, the city’s most loved celebration of our eclectic dining culture is back for a seventh year. Held in the picturesque lakeside setting of Albert Park, the festival is the perfect way to welcome the coming summer as you sample dishes served up by MoVida, Huxtable, Lucy Liu Kitchen and Bar, Brooks Restaurant, Saké Restaurant & Bar and more.

1. Taste Kitchen
Watch as Melbourne’s top chefs share their best tips and advice in a series of demonstrations with the theme of ‘Melbourne on a Plate.’ A mix of free and ticketed sessions gives you a unique look at the city’s food scene, with your favourite chefs offering plenty of inspiration and insight.
2. Artisan Producers Market

3. The Little Veggie Patch Co
It’s no secret we’re fans of The Little Veggie Patch Co – and our favourite backyard gardeners are hosting a pop up garden at the festival, with mini workshops for anyone wanting to get their hands dirty. Get a taste of growing your own veggies, make some mini scarecrows, learn to hang herb terrariums and get your own garden blooming with a patch starter kit.
4. The Dilmah Chef’s Skillery
A sterling line up of local chefs will host free sessions, revealing the secrets to everything from how to fillet a fish to how to pair flavours like a pro. Along with skillery lessons, a series of discussions, talks and Q&A sessions will delve into current foodie topics such as sustainability, paddock to plate and the science of cooking, and chefs and food experts will share stories from their own personal food journeys.
5. Canon Food Photography Experience
Relish the colours, textures and flavours of the culinary world from a different perspective as you learn to take fantastic food photographs. The pros at the Canon Collective share their best tips and tricks, covering both creative and technical content such as understanding light, balancing exposure, controlling focus and playing with depth of field. Suitable for beginners and more intermediate photographers, the class also provides a range of cameras and lenses to use.
