PremierPlus Hospital
What's covered?
We'll pay Benefits towards:
Private Room Guarantee
We recognise our PremierPlus Members' desire for privacy when they are being treated or recuperating overnight at a Members' Choice Hospital, that's why we offer a Private Room Guarantee.
Public Hospital
If you choose to go to a public hospital as a private patient we cover the cost of:
- Overnight accommodation for shared and private room
- Shared room only for Same Day Admissions.
PremierPlus Extras
What's covered?
We'll pay Benefits towards:
- General Dental (no Annual Limit)
- Endodontic Services
- Optical items
- Physiotherapy
- Pharmaceutical Prescriptions (non-PBS)
- Medically Necessary Ambulance Transport
Plus, you'll also get:
- Major Dental including orthodontics, dentures, crowns and bridges
- Alternative therapies including chiropractic and naturopathy
- Other therapies including podiatry and speech therapy
- Health appliances including hearing aids, blood glucose monitors and nebulisers
- Clinical psychology consultations
- School Accident treatment.

Limits
Once the Annual Limit or Sub-limit has been reached, no further Benefits are payable for those extras services for that person until the next Calendar Year. Limits for health appliances may not be based on a Calendar Year. There are also some limits that apply to the Membership as a whole.
PackageBonus
It's an amount of money that accumulates each year to help pay for a range of approved Membership and health-related expenses.
How the PackageBonus works
Each Member may claim PackageBonus Benefits up to their individual cumulative limit. When a Membership consists of 3 or more persons, it is not possible for all the Members to claim their full individual PackageBonus within the same Calendar Year.
PackageBonus entitlements
There is a 6 month Waiting Period and entitlements apply from 1 January each year.

Any unused PackageBonus will be added to the following year's entitlement up to the maximum limit shown above. Subject to this, if you do not use it, you will not lose it, as long as you continuously remain a Member of SmartPlus, HealthyPlus, AdvantagePlus or PremierPlus.
