What's covered?

Included Services:

  • Injuries sustained in an Accident
  • Knee reconstruction surgery and investigations
  • Shoulder reconstruction surgery and investigations
  • Appendicitis treatment
  • Removal of tonsils and adenoids
  • Surgical extraction of wisdom teeth.

  • Obstetrics-related Services
  • Assisted reproductive services eg IVF and GIFT
  • Cardio–thoracic Procedures
  • Hip and knee joint replacement surgery
  • Major eye surgery
  • Plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Cosmetic surgery

Restricted Services

All other services where a Medicare benefit is payable are Restricted Services. We pay lower Benefits for Restricted Services in a private hospital.

Public Hospital

If you choose to go to a public hospital as a private patient we cover the cost of:

  • Overnight accommodation for shared and private room
  • Shared room only for Same Day Admissions.

  • Endodontic services

  • Medically Necessary Ambulance Transport.

Limits

Once the Annual Limit or Sub-limit has been reached, no further Benefits are payable for those extras services for that person until the next Calendar Year. These limits are outlined in the table above.
